Mirabilia del pintor

for Museu Abelló

In 2021, Joan Abelló Museum commissioned me to portray its contents in an artistic way. The museum hosts a part of the collection that Joan Abelló donated to the city of Mollet del Vallès. It contains paintings from the artist as well as a number of objects of different types. Due to this variety, I decided to recreate the old cabinets of mirabilia to convey this diversity. It resulted in this photography series that renders six cabinets. They accommodate glass and terracotta vases, paint buckets, old toys, framed drawings, canvasses, and more.

The series was acquired by the Pla Nacional de Fotografia
