Barcelona, memòria fotogràfica

Co-curatorship, original photography and set design

The experience consisted of large format pieces to immersive 360º, virtual reality, projections, and interactive proposals through artificial intelligence.

My work was threefold: on one hand, I delved into the archives of the six photographers to select the photographs to be showcased at the exhibition. On the other hand, I myself was in charge of photographing some of the city’s most representative places which had also been captured by these authors’ cameras. You will notice that the spaces in these images are eerily empty, with absolutely no one around except for the dove standing on the ledge in Parc Güell’s wall. This was because we prepared this exhibition during the Covid lockdown, when the cities were filled with ghosts and silence…
Finally, I was commissioned to design the laboratory set, prepared with materials from the time when these photographers lived.

BARCELONA MEMORIA FOTOGRÁFICA was the first immersive experience about the city of Barcelona through the gaze of 6 of the best photographers in the country. An unprecedented vision of the city in the 50s and 60s through digital art with spectacular photographs by Francesc Català-Roca, Oriol Maspons, Leopoldo Pomés, Joana Biarnés, Xavier Miserachs, and Colita.
