The Archie-Barcelona series was specially created for Archie Living using archival photographs by Maite Caramés. Together with the establishment’s owners, she selected the images, formats, materials, and frames for the display. Though not limited to Barcelona’s geography, the photographs evoke the city through references such as the sea stretching to Cap de Creus, iconic spots like Ciutadella, and remnants of its industrial past. The series intentionally avoids tourist clichés, instead offering a calm, contemplative view of the city. Like the slow analog development process behind many of the images, the city reveals itself gradually to those who embrace this unhurried rhythm.
